Question 1

What can I do in the MTG Deck Builder?

Accepted Answer

Start blank, import a list, build step-by-step, browse precons or public decks, use cards from a saved collection, take the playstyle quiz, or build with ManaTap AI.

Question 2

Which formats are supported?

Accepted Answer

Commander, Modern, Pioneer, Standard, Pauper, Legacy, and Vintage can use the manual, import, browse, and collection paths. AI advice and deck-change tools also work for Legacy and Vintage. AI generation covers those same seven formats when Legacy/Vintage generation is enabled: legal 60-card lists with a 15-card sideboard, not claimed as current tournament meta.

Question 3

Can I build from cards I own?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Open Build from Collection, choose a saved collection, then build manually or use ManaTap's collection-aware AI flow to start from cards you own.

Question 4

Do I have to use AI?

Accepted Answer

No. Manual paths let you start blank or build card-by-card with guidance. AI is simply another choice inside the same flow.

Question 5

How is this different from AI Workshop?

Accepted Answer

The MTG Deck Builder creates the first list using your chosen path. AI Workshop refines an existing full decklist with focused swap passes.

Question 6

Can ManaTap build a Commander deck?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Choose Commander, enter a commander or deck idea, set budget and power level, and ManaTap can generate a reviewable Commander decklist.

Question 7

Can I build 60-card Magic decks?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The builder supports Modern, Pioneer, Standard, and Pauper with format-specific deck generation.

Question 8

What should I do after generating a deck?

Accepted Answer

Review the list, copy it, save it to ManaTap, or run it through the MTG Deck Checker to inspect mana curve, land count, draw, ramp, interaction, and legality signals.
